Saffron restaurant in Oldbury has earned an AA rosette for its superb and imaginative Indian cuisine, as well as a horde of loyal and enthusiastic fans who have made this restaurant a regional and local favourite. The dining room couldn’t be smarter in the most modern way, with wooden floors, colour scheme of sexy scarlet and black, uncovered tables and fresh flowers. The menu aims very high indeed, using the finest possible ingredients in dishes that include not only tandooris and biryanis, but also more exotic elements for their signature dishes, like Scottish lobster and beef. Saffron’s dishes are beautifully present with scribbles of sauces and vibrant slivers of colourful veg to entice your eye as well as tempting your tastebuds.
