Perky green colour schemes & American diner-style seating set the tone at Heavenly – a vibrant addition to central Glasgow’s vegan scene. Some customers simply treat it as a bar, others stop by for a quick coffee, while the ravenous lunchtime crowds pour in for comforting plates of vegan bangers & mash with red wine & onion gravy. If you want a full three-course blow out, it might involve mixed vegetable tempura to start, ahead of courgettes stuffed with crispy tofu & some basmati rice on the side, with poached pear & dairy-free vanilla ice cream for dessert. Heavenly also does a good line in ample & inventive weekend brunches. The wine list is extremely limited, but there are some decent beers from the likes of Brewdog, Samuel Smith or Glasgow’s own West Brewery.
