The Castle Hotel

A restored Northern Quarter pub with character, The Castle Hotel is where OAPs & funky young things meet – & it’s flat caps all round. The two demographics share a fondness for the long history, bijou dimensions & beautiful tiling which give The Castle its distinctive character, not to mention the beer. Robinsons’ Unicorn, Old Tom & Dizzy Blonde are among the eight cask ales & ciders & to go with them, weekend evenings bring the Manchester egg, a pickled egg given the Scotch treatment. The refurbishment has included the back room, where R&B club nights & impromptu gigs from acts like Elbow feature alongside a fully-loaded jukebox.
