Square Meal Review of Chez Jerome ?

Jerome Dehoux has been waving the tricolor here since 2007, & Bedfordshire’s Francophiles have developed a great affection for this rustic, family-run place, proclaiming it ‘the best restaurant in the area’. The menu is pitched perfectly for the local crowds: mille-feuille of crab meat seasoned with coriander & scallions or terrine of pork belly with smoked ham & red onion marmalade to start, then grilled calf’s liver with bacon, onions & vintage Bordeaux wine jus, plus tarte tatin & caramel ice-cream to finish.

    Best find in Dunstable, the food is best quality and well presented, the vegetables perfectly cooked and the service is always excellent. I go every week to this restaurant and was never let down except that sometimes during the week can be very quite but unfortunately that's all Dunstable

    we had had a weekday meal at chez jerome and it was fine,however we then invited some friends for a sunday lunch,mistake////we were put in a very cramped table obviously really meant for two,i had a starter of mackeral clearly straight from the fridge and hard,i then had pork belly really poor and accompanied by a carrott and a spoon of mash,the rest of the meals were also poor,very embarrasing,this was a sunday lunch deal but you still expect a reasonable meal
