Glorious views over St Ouen’s Bay, access to the La Moye championship golf course & sterling service – there’s much to recommend about The Atlantic Hotel. It’s also home to the fine-dining Ocean Restaurant, which won a Michelin star early in 2009. The dining room is a polished affair with high-backed chairs, crisply laid tables & smartly attired waiters, & the food more than lives up to the surroundings – expect sophisticated dishes with just enough contemporary edge. Meals might kick off with dry-roasted duck foie gras with salted caramel nougatine & passionfruit foam, before seared fillet of line-caught sea bass with roasted baby artichokes, borlotti beans & cep infusion. The ‘menu de terroir’ makes use of produce from Jersey’s coast & countryside, while the wine list deserves serious attention.
