In the Moncreiffe Restaurant, the set price, three-course menu (£39.50) combines deft technique with interesting twists on classics, be it gravad lax of salmon with caper scone, cream cheese & asparagus salad, risotto of mushrooms & spinach with cheese glaze or pot-roast chicken breast with pesto & white bean velouté. Plum pudding tartlet with sweet berry compote is the dessert of choice.
