Paganini Ballroom at the Paramount The Old Ship

Built in 1559, The Old Ship is the oldest hotel in town with a celeb guest list that has included Byron, Dickens & Churchill. It’s also bang on Brighton’s bustling sea front, with the Royal Pavilion just across the road & top-end fashion boutiques in the nearby Lanes. The magnificent Paganini Ballroom staged the Prince Regent’s Ball in 1819 & recent refurbishment sees it back in use. Most of the individually designed bedrooms enjoy glorious views and are luxuriously contemporary in style. There are views of the promenade from the restaurant (Location 3), which serves continental standards such as melon soup with cheese soufflé or chicken with mash & seasonal vegetables. Alternatively, enjoy something light in the sunny Al Fresco bar, which is a perfect spot if you fancy watching the world go by.
