Tucked into the hillside above the River Fowey, The Cormorant Hotel makes the most of some spectacular views, which can be enjoyed from the intimate restaurant as well as the fine-weather terrace. Pre-dinner drinks can also be taken in the lounge where there is plenty of comfortable seating & you can curl up in front of a log fire. The kitchen supports local producers & cooks in a no-nonsense, modern British way, offering a dinner menu that might include goats’ cheese & beetroot salad, or scallops with carrot puree & hogs pudding, followed by tenderloin of pork with a wonderfully crisp potato rosti & wilted spinach, or fillet of beef with fondant potato & roasted shallots. Dessert brings chocolate fondant, or the lighter option of lemon posset.
