Tucked away down an alley in the foodie resort of Padstow, Mary B’s is a fine example of what a coffee shop should be – relaxed, welcoming & unpretentious, the sort of place you stumble across & think you’ve found a true hidden treasure. The menu may not be large, but what it offers is done very well. Come before noon & have a full breakfast or a simple bacon sarnie made with bread from a local bakery. Lunch brings favourites such as BLTs on toasted ciabatta or sandwiches filled with big prawns & delicious salad leaves. The soup is fresh, the deli plate offers the best in local produce & the cold cabinet is full of locally made cakes – great for dessert or as a treat with a cup of coffee.
