About

Turtle Bay Sheffield brings a colourful taste of Caribbean culture to the North, with vibrant food and drinks and a lively atmosphere. Located in the heart of Sheffield city centre, this is an ideal spot to come and enjoy some breakfast and brunch to start off a day of shopping or a good spot to come for a fun atmosphere at night. The decor very much matches the vibe here - bright and colourful furniture, trinkets and pieces of street-style art make this space feel fresh and youthful and makes you more than in the mood for some Caribbean inspired cocktails.

The menu is extensive, rooted in soul food. The breakfast and brunch menu puts a Caribbean spin on English and American breakfast classics, like the pancake-inspired roti stack with fried chicken and maple syrup. The small plates are a good option for when you want some small bites to go with your drinks, encompassing things like crispy chilli squid and sweetcorn fritters. The list of mains is extensive, ranging from soul food like curry goat to burgers and buddha bowls. The food might not be haute cuisine but it’s tasty and you’ll find yourself torn between plenty of options.

Turtle Bay is most known however for its happy hour and bottomless brunch, both of which occur every day. The happy hour (two for one cocktails) is on offer every day between 10am and 7pm and then 9.30 pm to close every day other than Friday and Saturday (10pm to close). The generous bottomless brunch, which gives you two hours at the table, gives you a range of brunch dishes and burgers to choose as well as bottomless cocktails, mocktails, beer and Prosecco - all of which can lead to a very good time. This is a one stop place for undeniable energy, some tasty food and as many drinks as you can handle.

Disgusted

I am utterly disgusted with the service we recieved at Turtle Bay Unit 2 NUM Building, 18 Holly St, Sheffield S1 2GT yesterday evening. We made a birthday table booking for my sister, my son and myself and had confirmed this over the phone with two members of staff and specifically asked if we could bring a child to which we were told "it gets a bit loud, but that's fine children can come". After adding the child to the booking we turned up and were greeted by the rudest bouncer I have ever come across. We were told we couldn't come in with a child to which I contested as we had confirmation this was okay and he had been added to our table booking. We were refused service so I requested the complaints procedure, as soon as I mentioned complaint the bouncer grabbed my arm with extreme force and tried to drag me out of the building infront of my son. When my sister tried to stop him he proceeded to drag her out and throw her down the stairs injuring her, ripping her clothes and traumatising my 6 year old. The excessive use of violence by the bouncer was completely out of order and caused injury and distress to us. Other bouncers had to come and calm the out of controll bouncer down, we were then given a trip adviser review card as their complaints procedure and told to make any complaint via this. I will be taking this further, I have videos of the bouncer man handling my 21 year old sister In front of my 6 year old Son, and photos of injuries caused, and will be sending this to our family lawyer and holding Turtle Bay and the bouncer ( who refused to give us his name) accountable.
