Restaurants in Swansea

At one time the most powerful seaport in the world, Swansea’s history takes in shipbuilding, porcelain manufacture, coal mining, mineral exploitation and copper exporting. Described by Dylan Thomas as a ‘lovely, ugly town’, what the city centre lacks in charm is more than compensated for by its famous suburb Mumbles at the entrance to the Gower Peninsula with its lovely bays and rugged countryside.
