Your fun British pub has had a glamourous makeover - meet The Liquorist; style, excitement and a buzzing energy sits on the waterside in Gunwharf Quays. In the summer sun, the outdoor seating area is the largest in Portsmouth's Quays and a great spot for sipping on a cocktail made by one of the expert bartenders. At The Liquorist, the team host happy hour every day between 5pm and 8pm so whether you're heading home after work, finishing a day of shopping, or need a place to celebrate, the team are on hand to keep you refreshed with a fully stocked bar.
On the food menu, you'll find comfort food as well as some more elevated plates, packed full of flavour. Begin with a delectable chicken and sweet red onion marmalade terrine or indulge in comforting mac 'n' cheese, encased in crispy breadcrumbs and served with a sticky barbecue dipping sauce.
For mains, juicy steaks can be topped with onion rings, scampi, calamari or a fried egg while pub classics like pies, lasagne, sausage and mash, and cod and chips are sure to keep every diner happy.
When it comes to the burgers, The Liquorist are up there competing with the best. A soft, glazed bun sandwiches crispy buttermilk chicken or juicy beef burgers. Topping combinations include cheese and bacon; beef brisket and streaky bacon; and sweet chilli pork belly.
For dessert, indulgence is key: a sticky toffee sponge comes infused with rum and dripping in custard, while a chocolate sponge oozes with caramel sauce and mixes with ice cream, biscuit crumbs and chocolate sauce.
