About

The Hop Vine, formerly known as The Royal Hotel, was built in 1874 and was the main stopping point for many travellers, as well as the local community. The Hop Vine has converted the old stables on site into a private brewery where they produce a small selection of English hops brewed exclusively for The Hope Vine and their sister pub The Legh Arms.

The Hop Vine is a cosy traditional pub serving both a breakfast menu and a main menu. The breakfast menu is served at weekends and includes traditional favourites such as breakfast sandwiches and buns, granary toast, and a full English. There is also tea, coffee, and a vegetarian option.

The main menu has a good selection of pub favourites, including starters such as chicken liver pate, calamari and soup of the day. Main courses include classic fish and chips, cheese and leek pie, and roast chicken served with slaw, fries and warm pitta.

You will also find a good selection of burgers, filled baguettes and sandwiches. Sides include chubby chips, fresh veg and sauteed flat cap mushrooms. You can also order from The Hop Vine sharing platters which include meat, bread or fish options.

Desserts cover all the classic pub favourites with sticky toffee pudding, chocolate brownie and homemade crème brulee of the day.

Tuesday night is quiz night at The Hop Vine. There is also a coach house suite, which can be booked for private parties and dining, this has its own set menu.
