After four years of cheffing at Restaurant 1840, working closely with Barry and Becky, I've been given a fantastic opportunity to take over this incredible venue. Our new ethos at restaurant 1840 is great food, great intentions. We'll be pushing forward with British only meat and sustainable fish caught in British waters. We want to pioneer change in the industry, including both pleasure and betterment.

Restaurant 1840 is a renovation of this former Methodist church. It began in 2016 following 10 years of neglect. The lovingly restored building has maintained its heritage: all tables have been converted from original church pews; stained glass has been specially designed to replicate the originals, and even the pulpit has been restored in the reception area.
