Ponsbourne Park is a beautiful country estate set around a historic house which dates back to 1876. With spanning greenery and lush woodland, Ponsbourne is a stunning place to enjoy a special meal with friends or family.
Set within the terrace of the house is a collection of pods and domes, each offering a private dining bubble with views out to the surrounding grounds. Pods and domes can be booked from Tuesday to Sunday for groups of up to six people.
The pods’ décor feels minimalist and contemporary, designed with block tones and plain wooden tables with upholstered seating. The domes, however, have a slightly more occasion feel and are located on the lower terrace. Completely transparent, they resemble igloos and are dressed with fresh flowers. Plus, they’re heated for extra comfort.
Come evening, both areas are awash with mood lighting to set the scene and create atmosphere. The food menu follows an Indian theme, serving up starters of tandoori broccoli, jeera chicken and paneer. Main menu highlights include butter chicken, coastal sea bass curry and dal makhni. While those with a sweet tooth will be waiting on the desserts offering, which includes rose petal tiramisu, coco chocolate truffle and jamoon and lemon tart.
