About

Otto Pizza is now a Birmingham favourite, cementing through a reputation for its commitment to traditional pizzas, ensuring that quality ingredients are used without creating a price to balk at. The restaurant has three outlets, but this one – the Jewellery Quarter Otto Pizza – is the original, founded in 2016 it has been popular since. There’s good reason for this, Otto Pizza serve Neapolitan pizzas of many varieties, simple and straight up.

If you’re expecting anything other than a pizza base or what normally goes on a pizza, you don’t have many options here. The starters are either flatbread based, or a charcuterie board. The desserts are their own thing, with tiramisu, ice cream, and a brownie all an option for those who want something after their pizza, but other than that you’ve got to be very excited for pizza.

There are nine pizzas listed on the main menu, split into three categories. So, the first is the ‘normal’ pizza, what you’d think of when pizza is mentioned, but it isn’t normal as in ‘average’ the ingredients are quality and selected for this reason, brought together in order to create a quality pizza that does the job with pizazz. The second category is one Otto Pizza is very enthusiastic about, the white pizzas, where the tomato base is substituted out for a white cheese or crème fraiche base, creating a creamier pizza that allows certain ingredients to shine more than a tomato base would permit.

The fourth category is a double tomato sauce option, designed for vegans to be able to double down on the restaurant’s homemade tomato sauce and enjoy a nice pizza in line with their dietary requirements. Otto Pizza serves pizza, and not much else, meaning it can truly focus on creating a good meal and a good atmosphere for you to have an enjoyable evening.
