Marugame Udon Oxford Circus

Marugame Udon is located in the heart of London, right next to Oxford Circus station. With an open kitchen, you can watch the chefs rolling dough, pressing, and cutting udon noodles in front of your very eyes that is open from 11am every day, and until 11pm from Wednesday through to Saturday. Here, dining is easy. Grab a tray and head to the counter to see your food made – it's affordable and delicious. Whilst making the noodles is a time consuming craft, the team love making them using three ingredients — wheat flour, salt and water, and they're freshly made each day using a whole lot of skill and intuition, so that you can enjoy a taste of Japan.

The most simple of all the noodle dishes is the creamy vegan udon bowl, in a rich tonkotsu style soup. The classic chicken katsu curry comes with crispy fried chicken breast in panko breadcrumbs with a mildly spicy curry sauce, whilst the beef nikutama has rich beef and caramelised onions in a sweet and smoky BK sauce with a soft poached egg. The curry udon has a mildly spicy chunky vegetable curry sauce, whilst the base of pork tonkotsu has charsu pork, spicy miso pork and a rich soup with an egg, too.

Bowls come in small, regular and large for most of the options, so depending on how hungry you are, you can tailor your meal for your appetite.
