About

Lusin’s creme de la creme location sees it surrounded by some of Mayfair’s most fashionable haunts. And it feels very much at home here, with sleek interiors and a fine dining menu, offering a stylish dining experience in the heart of London’s most covetable postcode.Spread across two floors, Lusin blends an appreciation for old and new across its design. Authentic features of the building are shown off, such as a brickwork arch and rustic exposed stone, but contrasted with modern light installations and metallic accenting. Its aesthetic, which at times even feels futuristic, cleverly mirrors the menu which though is both inspired by ancient flavours while delivering something fresh and new.Lusin defines itself as Armenian and says that it relishes offering UK customers the chance to partake in the centuries old traditions of the country's food, and aims to reflect a wide host of Armenian cultural references - from music to literature - in its dishes. The menu spans a range of appetisers to get things started, from cold plates to soups. Lusin’s signature eggplant rolls offer aubergine slices stuffed with walnuts, whipped cheese and a sprinkling of pomegranate seeds, while traditional hummus topped with cubes of Wagyu beef and pine nuts promises to start your meal off right. When it comes to mains, the selection of Lusin specialities offers dishes such as Manti, a dumpling stuffed with meat, matzone yogurt and tomato sauce and the ‘Centuries-Old Armenian Gapama’ which is a pumpkin filled with spiced rice, veal fillet and nuts. But, really you should also try something from the grill, which boasts the likes of Wagyu beef cubes, sheesh tawook, sheesh kebab, lamb chops and lobster, served as a medley. Finally, for dessert it has to be traditional cheese maamoul with walnut ice cream or homemade rolls of rose loukoum filled with cream, both of which are house favourites.
