Having taken the area by storm when it opened half a decade ago, this clean-cut, stylishly lit modern Indian restaurant is still winning over new customers – impressed by the variety the menu has to offer, the depth of flavour in the dishes, & the friendly, personal service. Tangawizi is not unique in providing these things, but the consistency with which it has done so is laudable. All the curry-house regulars are here (including a top tarka dhal), but so are the likes of jhinge coco (grilled king prawns marinated in coconut, ginger & garlic) & tanghai lamb (cooked in a coconut sauce & served in a fresh coconut). Booking essential, especially towards the end of the week. Those who can’t get a table settle for a ‘top’ takeaway.
