A wacky bar & restaurant where flavours & influences from the owner’s global travels arrive in a glass & on a plate. Stir-fried chicken & vegetables with hokkien noodles & a Szechuan sauce find a place alongside Andean jambalaya (quinoa, chorizo, smoked bacon, prawns, cayenne & tomato) & Portuguese-influenced chicken espetada served with patatas bravas. An extraordinary wine list brings together bottles from India, New Zealand & the Lebanon. If the cooking is not quite as authentic as it might be, the staff make up for it with their enthusiasm & the atmosphere is judged ‘terrific’.
