Forget everything you know about chain pubs: this Mitchells & Butlers beauty is one of the best-kept secrets of the main Notting Hill drag. It’s set across two floors with a charming selection of faux ye olde lamps & retro antique seating littering the ground floor, cosy, lounge style seating in the basement below, & a bijou beer garden hidden out back hung with twinkling fairy lights. Great surrounds are matched by a winning selection of beers – from fruity Belgians such as Liefmans Frambozen to cool Euro lagers including Paulaner & guest Brit ales like Hobgoblin. The result is a champion formula for the attractive west London crowd that flocks here.
