Previously known as The Cock, this Fulham boozer underwent a much-needed makeover in 2007. Unfortunately it was all a bit half-hearted, with acres of dark wood & a modern soundtrack failing to provide the wished-for contemporary air. Still, the Brit food (from cottage pie to char-grilled tuna) is good value & the garden is a lovely summer space. What’s more, The Cock & Hen brews its own ale, Bonobo, on site, while also offering the likes of Adnams Oyster Stout, various guest ales & a few choice brews from Greenwich Meantime Brewery.
