Square Meal review of The Clachan:

Former owner Liberty once planned to turn this backstreet pub into a warehouse, but happily sense prevailed & it became The Clachan – the Scottish word for a hamlet. Surviving features include original ironwork, ornate carved wood & a grand, island bar. Traditional tastes embrace well-kept ales such as London Pride, Timothy Taylor Landlord, Old Speckled Hen & Wadworth 6X, while Erdinger, Staropramen & other strong European lagers suit other palates. It’s showing signs of wear around the edges, but still makes a useful refuge from the tourist crowds streaming down Carnaby Street & a handy rendezvous for an after-work pint.
