On offer are thirst-slaking pints of Sambrooks Wandle, tipples from Sussex veterans Harveys, Woild Moild from the Wolf Brewery in Norfolk or Twickenham-brewed Naked Ladies from an eight-pump armoury at the bar. Landlady Bridget (Binnie) Walsh & her girls also dispense a fine range of ciders, perry & whisky – plus baguettes stuffed with O’Hagan’s sausages to satisfy any hunger pangs. Beyond its divine stained-glass windows & hanging baskets, this admirable West End treasure has kept itself free from corporate interference – no wonder it’s regularly rammed with local workers & theatre-goers as well as legions of real-ale pilgrims.
