A huge bull’s head looms out over the stairs, as if to remind us that the Latin Ortega rose from the ashes of Belgian Abbaye. Dark & moody, it’s more bar than restaurant, with some competitively priced cocktails pulling in homeward-bound young professionals for a wind-down Daiquiri or rum-based Zombie at day’s end. Cuban rhythms provide background mood music, while rustic tapas & sharing platters fill rumbling stomachs. The basement is good for office parties & birthdays, especially on Saturday nights, when DJs are in the mix.
