Archway residents finally have an alternative to the heaving St John’s gastropub with the arrival of this chilled neighbourhood bar, though quiet weeknights suggest that locals have yet to be fully convinced by its homely charms. Still, at least that means it’s never hard to get a seat on one of the squishy sofas or retro chairs. A short menu restricts itself to offering only top-notch pizza, while there are interesting bottled beers, a short, sub-£20 wine list & classic cocktails for £6. Things pick up at the weekend when DJs fill a basement dance floor, & there’s a small garden for summer.
