This family affair has been feeding contented locals for more than 15 years, matching bijou interiors & trad trattoria decor with a welcoming vibe & abundant Italian hospitality. Kids adore the place & the menu springs no surprises; a greatest-hits list of pizzas (quattro formaggi, fiorentina, et al) sits alongside everyday pastas & daily specials chalked on the walls. However, it’s the care & attention that sets this place apart: sausages are flown out from Tuscany, anchovies from Sicily & everything from the wood-fired pizzas to the delicious ice cream comes with a real homemade feel. There is a short wine selection, though some opt for BYO (£3 corkage). If you find it booked up, the owners run a second outlet nearby at 105 Munster Road (020 7384 1884).
