Square Meal review of Pasha:
Pasha eschews the rugs & lanterns of themed Turkish eateries in favour of beige chairs, wood flooring & giant lamp shades. The menu is also more refined than at many north London Turks. While it’s possible to enjoy a conventional meal beginning with classic mezze such as spinach & feta-filled borek, with juicy chicken & lamb shish kebabs to follow, a more memorable dinner could kick off with spiced mackerel with white bean salad & black olive tapenade & then move on to duck with crushed new potatoes, spring greens, pomegranate & walnut. Prices aren’t bargain basement but quality is high. Take time to peruse the wine list – there are interesting bottles from Turkey, plus Austrian Gruner Veltliner & Californian Zinfandel.
