Vying with rival All Star Lanes for the title of Kingpin of WC1, this bowling alley revisits the 1950s as portrayed in the film American Graffiti, complete with original geometric pattern carpet, arcade games & karaoke suites (not period correct, but hey!). There are big-fill burgers, ‘Daddy’ hotdogs, nachos & pancakes with maple syrup, while the fabulous horseshoe bar dispenses retro mixes such as Kamikaze, Harvey Wallbanger & Cuba Libre at an equally retro £5. There are no Amercian beers, oddly, but Cuban Cristal, Paulaner Blonde & Scotland’s Bitter & Twisted head the froth tops. A dozen won’t-break-the-bank wines include six sold by the glass.
