There’s a whiff of Prohibition-era Chicago, mingled with a hint of the opium den, to this Euston watering hole, improbably located along the sterile strip of road that runs between Camden & Tottenham Court Road. The dim lighting makes the cosy leather banquettes just right for whispering sweet nothings to the object of your desire while you ply her (or him) with a Japanese Cosmopolitan (vodka, Midori, lime & cranberry) or the Zimmerman Revisited (a sharp combo of Tequila, raspberry liqueur, lemon juice & passionfruit). You can work up a fever on the dance floor downstairs, then slake your appetites with a selection of Japanese-inspired nibbles (gyoza, sushi or noodles).
