Despite its dire name, Oops Restaurante & Vinateria still pulls in the punters thanks to its location bang in the heart of Covent Garden. It’s an atmospheric haunt, filled with candles, dark wood & mirrors, & there’s a good-looking dining room tucked away upstairs. A lengthy menu of classic tapas is split into six sections – warm, cold, charcuterie, cheese, mixed & desserts – so you could pick among ham croquettes, marinated anchovies, plates of Jabugo ham & manchego, a selection of tortillas & finish with fig ice-cream. A set lunch menu offers four plates for a not-bad £12.95.
