A pub since 1840, this bow-fronted building has been given a fresh lease of life with a recent makeover & new chef. The classy new look features walls adorned with gilt mirrors & Cole & Son wallpaper, while the revamped menu is an accomplished selection of familiar pub staples, plus a few further-flung dishes. The selection changes monthly & could include anything from antipasti & Caesar salad to pumpkin ravioli & spicy Moroccan lamb. The aim has clearly been to go more upmarket, but The Windsor Castle remains a relaxed & casual spot, popular with locals, tourists & students from nearby London Business School.
