This civilised little Smithfield pub takes its name from one of Shepherd Neame’s flagship ales, as confirmed by the bawdy posters on the walls. There’s also a slightly less risqué assortment of London memorabilia from times gone by knocking about the place – making the Bishop’s Finger an agreeable, welcoming hideaway to sip on a pint of well-kept Spitfire, Master Brew or the eponymous strong, fruity ale. The kitchen has done away with its unpopular restaurant menu & it now deals largely in bog-standard pub grub including burgers, beer-battered fish & chips & an impressive array of some 15 different sausages. Hanging baskets add some seasonal colour to the tables outside.
Travel to The Bishop's Finger in style with London's leading minicab firm Addison Lee.
