Square Meal review of Tipperary:

This beautiful if bijou bar, London’s oldest surviving Hibernian hostelry, is a sophisticated affair that’s far removed from faux Oirish chains. With its oak bar, wall panels, leaded windows & shamrock tiles, the Tip is high on charm & low on decibels, its mellow music encouraging adult conversation. Dating back to 1605, it was the first pub outside Ireland to sell Guinness. Irish stew, boxty (griddled potato) & a fine range of whiskies, Caffrey’s, Guinness & Greene King IPA on tap – not too much has changed over the past century.
