Sidle into the attractive mint- & tiramisu-toned bar for a cocktail or Prosecco; otherwise, earwig the latest scoop over Cecconi slings, strawberry & ginger mules or limoncello & fresh raspberry topped with Champagne. As you’d expect, Cecconi’s advertises a commendable Italian wine list, with plenty by the glass & carafe. To nibble, crostini & cichetti – quail’s egg & tuna, soft-shell crab – will satisfy size zeros, or you can man up on plates of Umbrian sausage with peppers, octopus with potatoes, & meatballs in tomato sauce. What to wear? Let’s just say trackie bottoms & team shirts won’t cut it.
