While this intimate newcomer may not offer anything particularly innovative on its north Indian menu, there is still enough quality cooking here to delight well-heeled Richmond locals long deprived of a quality Indian. Begin with a superbly made starter of freshly flavoured garlic mushrooms coated in batter & accented with garlic & coriander. Prawn nariyali are succulent & divine, coming as they do char-grilled in the tandoor with light spices & coconut. Highlights amongst the mains include lamb chops atop masala mashed potatoes in a subtly spiced lentil sauce. Pan-fried fillet of snapper yields a modern spin with ginger, chilli, & cumin-flavoured mashed potato. Sides are passable; breads & rice faultless. The interior has been given a quietly elegant sheen with pale colours & subtle artworks.
