Firefly Balham & Clapham

Despite being owned by the same people, these sister restaurants/bars offer quite different experiences. At the Clapham branch, the large outdoor terrace pulls in the crowds for Sunday brunch & after-work drinks come summer, while indoors is just as likely to be filled with drinkers as with diners. In contrast, the Balham branch is more of a winter hangout with a separate dining area, a cosy bar area & no alfresco seating. You can, however, expect a warm welcome, laid-back atmosphere & friendly, unpretentious service at both. The menus are also similar & range from bar snacks & sharing platters to hearty burgers, steak & sausage & mash, with popular Sunday roasts. Prices are very reasonable, & a good cocktail & wine selection adds further appeal.
