Ranch

This newcomer falls somewhere between a chain establishment, of which Twickenham has too many, & a style bar, of which the area has too few. Red lacquered walls & comfortable booths give it a smart, user-friendly look, but the drinks & food menus are packed with the flourishes – jokey typefaces, epigrams – you expect from a big chain. The drinks are in fact pretty good & not too pricey. The food, which doesn’t venture much further than nachos & burgers, is perfectly decent. Staff are friendly & seem to know what they’re doing. Time will tell, but this may yet turn out to be a great addition to the neighbourhood.
