Ben's Thai

Having been ousted from The Warrington to make way for Gordon Ramsay’s posh gastropub, Ben’s Thai found its new home above The Robert Browning nearby & has done a good job of recreating the vibe that characterised its old digs. Dated pub surrounds are perked up with some decorative nods to the cuisine, while affable staff potter around dressed, rather oddly, in Hawaiian-style garb. Thai chefs work the stoves, producing commendable versions of all the favourites: pad thais (with chicken, beef or prawn), fragrant curries & various fiery salads are all as they should be, & there are always a few specials to choose from, too. All in, you’re unlikely to spend more than £15 a head including drinks.
