Wrights Wine Bar

The former Bar Under the Clock assumes a new look along with its new identity. In place of the bold mid-nineties modernism of old there’s a softer cream & red colour scheme. The seating is softer too, the deeply upholstered leather being reminiscent of an old ministerial Rover. Set price deals keep the cost of lunch here modest: tuck into crispy baby squid with garlic mayonnaise or perhaps a Caesar salad with poached egg & bacon before a main course of bangers & mash or perhaps fish & chips with mushy peas. Draught & bottled beers supplement the wines & Champagnes & there are nibbles to soak up the alcohol in the evening.
