Square Meal review of Masala Zone:
The fifth link in the Masala Zone chain opened at the end of 2007 & serves up a similar offering as at its siblings: bright, modern surrounds, simple, clean-lined furnishings & a well-priced, user-friendly menu. There are noodle bowls (prawns in coconut & coriander sauce with egg noodles), meats grilled in the tandoor & a range of curries such as chicken Madras & Goan prawns. These are best sampled as part of a thali (platter) which comes with veg & lentil curries, rice, poppadum & chapattis. It’s cheap, ungreasy (though flavours can be a little muted) & great for kids or quick bites before the cinema or a gig.
