YO! Sushi Parkfield Street

Still on song, Yo! Sushi’s cheap & cheerful restaurants have captured the popular imagination over the past decade, as the UK’s taste for raw fish has rocketed. Other restaurants certainly serve better sushi but, with its trademark kaiten & bright colours, Yo! Sushi maintains a strong following. The concept may have raised eyebrows 10 years ago, but just about everyone is familiar with the set up these days – a succession of colour-coded plates priced from £1.70 (green) to £5 (grey). The 90-dish menu is peppered with old favourites, from California roll to sesame tuna & the signature Yo! roll, with plenty of cooked dishes available for Yo! virgins. Free refills on filtered water, miso soup & green tea are a bonus.
