Less busy than its siblings in Soho & South Kensington, the Covent Garden KKS is a handy drop-in for local workers & in-the-know Neal Street shoppers. This pint-sized kaiten eatery serves up quality sushi & sashimi at reasonable prices, plus a variety of hand rolls (salmon skin, prawn tempura) & inside-out rolls (salmon & avocado with sesame). Veggie treats such as inari (rice wrapped in fried bean curd) & nasu miso (aubergine in soy sauce) pop up on the conveyor belt alongside all the fresh fishy fare, from the ever-popular tuna & prawn to turbot, eel & scallop. Don’t miss the heavenly futomaki topped with shiny salmon roe. The utilitarian decor won’t win any design gongs, but affable service & free mugs of green tea are plus points.
