Square Meal Review of Veranda ?

Housed in Limehouse’s Mosaic development, Veranda deserves a big hand for offering consistently good service & food that’s a little different from the norm. The usual rundown of ‘curry house’ dishes is just the ticket for takeaways, but it’s worth trying something more unusual if you’re eating in. The waiters have been known to give ‘off-menu’ tips, but there’s always plenty more to tempt: duck is a good call (either grilled in the tandoor or cooked with coconut, chilli & orange zest), likewise precisely timed salmon fillet with fresh spinach & a gently spiced masala sauce. Veranda’s stylish interiors are a cut above the local competition, so you should expect to pay a little over Brick Lane prices. Service is ‘spot-on’ & fans also praise the eclectic wine list (from £14).

    Veranda is a stylish restaurant that is a step above the other restaurants in the area. We were very impressed with the wine list, good variety on the menu, and we will definitely be back.

    Verandah is a 2 minute walk from Limehouse station or a nice 10 minute walk along the river from Canary Wharf. Great food and very attentive service. We were recommended some dishes to try by our waiter which I don't think were on the menu and were really good. We'll be back.

    Stumbled upon Veranda after a couple of afternoon drinks at the Narrow pub across the road. Service was spot on and the food is really authentic. Hands down best Indian restaurant in the East End.

    The food here is fabulous, with with the pick being the seafood menu. The service is faultless. Many of the customers are locals who keep going back, mixed in with the occasional celebrity diner.
