It’s only right that the Jewellery Quarter, as Hatton Garden is known, should contain a hidden gem: diamond geezers need look no further than Clerkenwell House, a funky triplex gussied up in modish acid-trip prints. Cocktails are excellent, with Pomegranate Daiquiri, Mai Tai & Pimm’s Cup all recommended, although we prefer our ‘Champagne’ cocktails to be just that – not made with prosecco as standard. But with prices on a par with Elizabeth Duke at Argos – £3.95 during happy hour gets you one of these exotic baubles – few will complain. Nibbles take a meander around Mediterranean shores & there’s pool downstairs to boot.
