Formerly Bar Saaqi, Amuse Bouche is a new Soho sibling to the Fulham original dedicated to offering Champagne at egalitarian prices. The room is basic, its noodle-bar decor featuring a few sofas & fin-de-siecle French advertising posters, while the drinks list majors in fairly priced fizzes: Ayala Brut Majeur & Benedick Rose leave change out of £30, while trading up to just £40 secures Louis Roederer Rich, a sweeter style; if you’re after bone-dry, go for Laurent-Perrier Ultra Brut at £45. Red carpet splashes such as Krug ’95 or a 2000 Cristal cost around £100 less than at other West End bars. There’s an appealing east-meets-west lunchtime menu & modish bites for the evening include chilled soup shots & mini fish & chips.
