A zany collision of art-deco speakeasy, St James’s gentlemen’s club & Louisiana juke joint might have been a design car crash, but this new maximalist, split-level bar is actually a quirky triumph. DJs crank up the ambience while City suits set about a list of £6 classic & contemporary mixes such as the Chilli Lime Gimlet & Manuka Mule (a honey vodka take on the Moscow version). There’s a strong range of rum & Tequila, wines from £12.90, of which two dozen come by the glass, fizz from £19.90 (Prosecco), & bloke-friendly beers. Expect evening light bites, though there’s a fuller menu at lunchtime including staples of scampi, steak baguette & fish finger sandwich, plus design-your-own burgers & ice-cream sundaes.
