A stone’s throw from Euston, this restaurant in the Ambassadors Hotel is a useful meeting place for commuters. The functional bar & dining spaces have been sexed up with colourful contemporary furnishings & eye-catching lighting, while the European menu features local & seasonal ingredients along with cheeses from La Fromagerie. Meals kick off with a delicious selection of homemade bread & comforting starters such as creamed borlotti beans with garlic bruschetta. Mains excite less, the likes of moist, crisp-skinned sea bass fillet overwhelmed by its accompaniment of borlotti beans & olives. Despite the departure lounge-like air, it’s a useful addition to an area underserved by restaurants & service is sweet-natured.
