This buzzy Notting Hill newcomer is styled on the kind of neighbourhood pizzeria found on Mulberry Street, the main drag in Manhattan’s Little Italy. It carries it off with aplomb in terms of its upbeat music, cute staff & phenomenal pizzas: the dough is soft & airy & the ingredients thoughtful. A colourful ‘New York Hot’ comes topped with spicy pepperoni, crisp slivers of green pepper & jalapenos, the waistline-saving ‘Skinny Bitch’ features a low-carb base, & the wallet-busting ‘Beluga King’ (price on application, would you believe) is laden with egg, onion & caviar. Elsewhere are meatball sandwiches, salads & pastas, & if the chocolate pizza – slathered with Nutella – sounds too much then there’s sensationally creamy gelati to round things off. Prices may seem steep – a 20-inch pizza costs around £17 – but it will easily feed two, & most are available by the slice.
