Having moved from its original Charing Cross Road site, independently owned gay bar Ku is now bigger & bolder. Set over three floors of an old Chinatown pub, it offers vertical drinking for all tastes: alcopops & Blow Job shooters in the first-floor cocktail bar; trendy cold white lagers & Champagne (pink, naturally) in the ground-floor bar; & £1.50 promos from Sundays to Thursday in the downstairs dance bar that stays open until 3am for disco dollies partying to a hairbrush diva mix. Free Wi-Fi, karaoke, film nights & a daytime menu that includes moules-frites, croque monsieur & steak baguette are further reasons to investigate.
